  • Dietary/nutrition consultations/assessments/screenings
    • Medical nutrition therapy (MNT) on nutrition-related conditions such as nutrient deficiencies, food allergies/sensitivities/intolerances, GI complications, injury and/or surgical rehabilitation, etc.
    • Perform and interpret results of MX3 hydration testing, determine needs and hydration builds based on results
    • Research, evaluation, education, recommendation, and provision of permissible dietary supplements, as needed/appropriate
    • Grocery store tours and cooking demos
  • Oversight of inventory and ordering fuel station items, supplements and caterings
  • Maintain a consistent presence at football events throughout the week by participating and/or attending team meals, conducting weigh-ins, any nutritional and hydration needs for practice (pre-fuel, refuel, personalized hydration plans, etc).
  •  Optimize all aspects of nutrition related to student-athlete team practices and strength and conditioning sessions (pre- and post-workout fueling and hydration)
  • Develop and assist in facilitating team nutrition education sessions
  • Document performance nutrition interventions and metrics, as appropriate
  • Develop and design educational materials and manuals using Canva and power point.
  • Aid with recruitment, training, education, mentorship, management, and scheduling of dietetic interns and student volunteers, as assigned
  • Additional duties as assigned by Director of Football Nutrition and Associate Director

Required Education, Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

  • Bachelor’s degree in dietetics
  • Registered Dietitian with active registration by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (preferred) or RD Eligible.
  • Licensed Dietitian Nutritionist (LDN) in the state of Tennessee within 30 days of hire.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in collegiate setting
  • Ability to work a non-standard work week which may include early mornings, late nights, weekends, holidays, overtime, non-traditional work hours, and overnight travel as needed.
