SNIP COORDINATOR POSITION

 

The Gatorade Sports Nutrition Immersion Program began in 2013 and has seen tremendous growth since its inception and the program continues to evolve.  The Sports Nutrition Immersion Program (SNIP) utilizes two SNIP Coordinators to provide program oversight and ensure the program continues to grow and evolve to best support the current needs of the sports and performance RD profession. 

 

The SNIP Coordinators share responsibilities and maintain seamless communication with one another and with ASPDA’s Executive Director. The ASPDA Board of Directors may provide direction and feedback in alignment with SNIP program goals, outcomes, and events.

 

The position has varied time commitment each month; with some timeframes being substantially busier than others.  Traditionally, the months of February, March, June, November and December require more time commitment. The individual selected for this role will not be eligible to participate as a host-site/mentor nor will the individual’s place of employment. 

 

Job Summary:


The SNIP Coordinators will establish and present program initiatives each year, along with longer range goals and initiatives for the future years to ASPDA’s Executive Director and ASPDA Board of Directors.

 

●      Communicate and check-in regularly with designated Fellows and Mentors

●      Plan and participate in rotating month calls for all SNIP Mentors and SNIP         Fellows. Prepare topics for discussion for each call and facilitate   
   conversation and opportunities for professional and personal growth

●      Plan and execute Monthly Lecture Series

●      Attend SNIP Fellow poster session at Annual Conference

●      Attend Gatorade SNIP Social at Annual Conference

●      Prepare, present and attend SNIP Kick-off (location TBD each year)

●      Review, update and finalize SNIP Host-Site Application and Application   
  Guidelines

●      Review and update SNIP Fellow Application and Application Guidelines 

●      Review Host-Site Applications and conduct interviews with established
   committee

●      Review, evaluate and score all SNIP Fellow Applications

●      Communication with fellow applicants that did not receive interviews and
   provide them with any feedback you may have for them

●      Conduct Exit Interviews of mentors and fellows

  

Position Type: W2 Wage Employee
Compensation: $833.33/month; $10,000 annually

Funding: Position expected to continue annually, pending funding

Location: Remote/Virtual (except for travel as outlined)

Required Qualifications: 

●      ASPDA Experienced or Veteran Member

●      Attendance at SNIP Kick-Off the week of June 8, 2026 (approx. 3 days)

●      Not employed full-time by an ASPDA sponsor

●      Scheduling autonomy to be adequately available for task completion and phone calls during normal business hours when SNIP Mentors and Fellows are available

●      Flexible schedule with ability to travel to ASPDA Annual Conference, SNIP Kickoff, and site visits as necessary

●      Demonstrated growth mindset and strong mentoring skills

●      Ability to develop and implement mentorship programming

Preferred Qualifications:

●      ASPDA Veteran Member

●      Experience across a variety of sports nutrition practice settings

●      Experience serving as a Mentor within the SNIP program
