Duties and Responsibilities
- Provide performance nutrition services to assigned teams
- Collaborate with performance team for assigned teams
- Assist nutrition staff with development of department protocols
- Perform & analyze individual testing, such as body composition, hydration, & lab results
- Assist teams' Director of Operations in regard to travel and competition fueling
- Assist with teams' pre, during, and post practice/game fueling at home and on the road
- Develop educational material (social media, educational materials, team talks, etc.)
- Assist in management of paid student staff
- Perform other duties/tasks as assigned by the Sports Dietitian(s)
Minimum Requirements
- RD or RD eligible within 3 months of hire
- Minimum one year of volunteer or paid experience in an athletic setting (collegiate, professional, private training center)
- Ability to maintain HIPPA confidentiality and adhere to all department and university policies and procedures
- Ability to work a non-traditional hours, such as early mornings, late nights, weekends, and holiday
- Practice safe food handling skills
- Be able to lift, push, and pull objects up to 30 lbs
Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Ability to work independently, effectively and efficiently as an integral member of the sports nutrition team
- Possess strong time and priority management skills for complete project follow-through and execution
- Possess effective oral and written communication skills in individual and group settings
- Knowledge of the rules, regulations, bylaws and interpretations of the Mountain West Conference and NCAA
Compensation
- $16.50/hour, 20-30 hours/week. Schedule & travel dependent on assigned teams' schedules and seasons
- Preferred start date July 2025
