Job Summary
Work effectively with Sports Performance and Sports Medicine to provide a comprehensive approach to Student Athlete's health and performance, with heavy emphasis on Football. Provide nutrition counseling and medical nutrition therapy to individual student-athletes, teams, and coaches. Oversee and coordinate student workforce to maintain 10-13 fueling stations in an organized and food safe manner this includes maintenance, stocking and distribution of nutritional supplements to individual student-athletes and teams.
Skills needed:
- Can consider direct professional internship and/or graduate assistantship experience.
- Ability to independently manage all aspects of comprehensive sports programming; establish vision and strategies that will contribute to the development of a quality and innovative program.
- Ability to develop students' leadership, communication, conflict resolution, organizational, and teamwork skills.
- Knowledge of risk management issues in collegiate club sports and recreation.
- Must show ability to establish long and short-term goals consistent with the mission of the university and the division.
- Must show ability to build, develop, and cultivate relationships across campus with a variety of constituents.
- Demonstrated ability to supervise, manage, and develop student staff. Successful candidate will be self-motivated, energetic, service-minded and adept at solving problems.
- Ability to work collaboratively with diverse constituents.
- Must possess strong communication (written/oral) as well as interpersonal skills.
- Proficient with computer software (word processing, spreadsheet, electronic communication, etc.)
