Our goal is to empower our coaches to do their most impactful work as supported by modern technology, a clear health system, dedicated resources and a sense of community. Long-term, we desire coaches to evolve into a more hands-on role where they will shape the culture of OWN IT while operating as guides for the next generation of OWN IT coaches.
Currently, we are seeking health coaches who will work 1-on-1 with VIP clients. For each client, coaches are expected to create a personalized health system, inclusive of a custom nutrition and fitness plan, based on a series of testing to outline their roadmap to success. In partnership with our on-staff team of Medical Advisors, the coach will work directly with the client to help implement their blueprint. Coaches will interact with clients through multiple modalities such as the OWN IT app, text message service, live coaching calls, and the HIPPA-compliant dashboard.
Role Requirements:
All OWN IT coaches are required to hold:
Registered Dietician designation (active status)
Personal Fitness Training, Strength & Conditioning certification or equivalent
Additional certifications such as IFM Functional Medicine Certification Program (IFMCP), Functional Medicine Coaching Academy, Inc. (FMCA), National Strength and Conditioning Association (CSCS), National Board for Health & Wellness Coaching (NBHWC), etc.
OWN IT is seeking coaches with/whom:
Hold a Masters Degree in a Health Science related field;
Demonstrate an understanding of HRV and recovery science with practical experience. Ability to utilize data effectively to drive changes and understand client habits (HRV trends, sleep quality, strain/activity tracking, VO2 max, etc);
Demonstrate prior experience and dedication to delivering client outcomes, specifically in respect to health education and coaching around sleep, behavioral health, fitness & intentional movement, nutrition & hydration and mindset;
Clinical experience and/or work with integrative lab work (such as DNA Epigenetic, ALCAT, Access Medical Labs, Genova, DUTCH, etc);
Outpatient experience working 1:1 with clients and previous 1-on-1 coaching experience;
Personal training experiences include individual exercise programming and preferred previous experience as a virtual PT;
Registered Dietician experience includes nutrition programming, analyzing clinical labs, food-first approach programming and expertise in guiding clients through nutrition habit changes.
Fluency in incorporating integrative, evidence-based approaches seamlessly throughout the coaching process, such as positive psychology, breath-work and mindfulness;
Passion to be a part of building something innovative and mission-driven, actively providing feedback and insights to support the continued evolution of the OWN IT program over time;
Adaptable to change within a start-up company;
High competency with technology and applications:
Coaches are required to communicate effectively through multiple mediums daily to maintain the coach-client relationship.
Coaches are required to use CRM tools in order to maintain client records, communicate with colleagues and complete tasks required in accordance with the OWN IT process;
Ability to translate relevant health education and tools to equip clients as the masters of their own health from an intentional and informed perspective;
Partake in and monitor biometric data tracking to encourage long-term efficacy and outcomes, as well as support when growth proves not to be linear;
High organizational skills and attention to detail in record keeping & charting;
Experience with video-based and chat-based coaching, with confidence in the ability to foster trusting, mutual connections online;
Willingness to adhere to OWN IT coaching guidelines, values, protocols and procedures;
Experience with tele-health is preferred but not required.
Role Expectations:
Health coaches will be contracted employees. At the onset, coaches are anticipated to work approximately 10 hours per week, increasing with experience and capacity up to 25 hours per week. Employees also have the opportunity to move to part-time or full-time contracts as required.
The expectations of health coaches include:
Successful completion of the OWN IT Health Coach certification (non-compensated);
Attend monthly company meetings and health coach professional development;
Complete required client sessions and daily coaching in accordance to the OWN IT guidelines in a professional manner;
Communicate with clients and provide daily support outside of monthly calls via the OWN IT app & text message service;
Complete required pre and post-session prep work for clients in a timely manner;
Utilize a data integration platform to monitor progress and maintain accountability for clients.
