Performance Nutrition Coordinator

The University of Oklahoma Athletics Department is currently
seeking applicants for a Performance Nutrition Coordinator position. This is a
temporary 9-month paid position with an hourly pay of $15 per hour and is
capped at 30 hours per week. No other
university benefits are associated with this position.
Job
Responsibilities:
- Serve as the primary dietitian for three OU Athletics teams
- Counsel athletes on proper nutrition,
supplements, weight goals, performance, and more
- Perform nutrition education in the form of: team
educational talks, grocery store tours, cooking demos, fueling station
education handouts, team manuals, nutrition competitions
- Forecast weekly needs for sport-specific fueling
stations
- Coordinate with sport coaches, athletic
trainers, strength and conditioning coaches, sport psychology, and team
physicians on the nutritional care of student-athletes
- Gatorade
ordering, delivery, inventory
- Fueling
Station ordering/management
- Game/Meet
day attendance and fueling assistance
- Travel
meal assistance and coordination
- RedCard
roster and meal fund management
- Body
Composition Testing – via Bodpod/DEXA
- Attending
team/staff/coaching meetings
- Main
contact for Switzer fueling station day-to-day operations
- Assist with department social media posts
- Other duties as assigned by the
Director/Assistant Director of Sports Nutrition
Required Education
and Experience:
- Bachelor's
degree in Nutrition or related field from an accredited college or university
- (1) year of sports nutrition-related experience in the collegiate setting is preferred
Required
Licensure/Certification/Specialized Training:
- Registered Dietitian (RD)
- Obtain certification/licensure as required by
the state of Oklahoma (upon hire)
