Inventory and Procurement:
- Manage weekly inventory, ordering, and stocking of waters, beverages, smoothie stations, snacks for travel, and more.
- Maintain clean and stocked fueling and smoothie stations throughout the day across various locations (dining, weight room, court, front office kitchen).
- Perform in-person grocery shopping twice weekly to meet all nutrition and kitchen operation needs.
- Maintain positive relationships with vendors to ensure smooth procurement processes.
Food Preparation and Sanitation:
- Prepare post-practice shakes and assist with supplement stocking.
- Support kitchen staff daily with cleaning, sanitation, and organization of the kitchen, walk-in coolers, and all storage areas, including smoothie stations.
- Ensure the quality and safety of food by adhering to sanitary measures, including cleaning surfaces, sweeping floors, and properly storing food items.
Travel and Game Day Responsibilities:
- Handle the responsibility of dropping off plane meals 50% of the time, managing travel snacks inventory, ordering, and packing travel cases.
- Participate in rotations for morning PF and game night coverage on home game days.
Administrative and Educational Duties:
- Assist with all departmental monthly expense reports.
- Prepare all printed materials needed for the nutrition department, such as plane meal labels, signs, and menus.
- Contribute to developing nutrition education materials under the direction of the Director of Performance Nutrition & Dietetics.
- Always provide professional customer service and communication.
Safety and Compliance:
- Follow proper reporting procedures for accidents and incidents to ensure follow-up and prevention.
- Adhere to all regulations related to bloodborne pathogens, infection control, hazardous materials, and fire safety.
- Perform additional responsibilities as requested by the Director of Nutrition and Director of Performance Nutrition & Dietetics.
